Summary
The Access and Reimbursement Manager (ARM) is a field-based role responsible for providing education and support related to access and reimbursement topics within assigned geographies. The ARM serves as the key contact for access support, expertise in payer policies, billing, coding, and integration of manufacturer programs into account workflows. The role requires proactive problem solving, analysis of access issues, and communication of healthcare landscape changes. The ARM collaborates with various internal teams and external accounts, maintaining compliance with privacy laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support patient access by educating providers and staff on product-specific programs and integrating these into office workflows.
- Collaborate with office staff, including billing and claims departments, to support access and reimbursement needs.
- Analyze and resolve reimbursement issues, support policy changes, and identify trends to improve patient pull-through.
- Support local coverage decisions and communicate policy updates proactively.
- Implement and support patient support programs like Co-pay assistance.
- Maintain expertise in regional access landscapes and act as a reimbursement expert for assigned products.
- Coordinate with Patient Support Center on case management and reimbursement issues.
- Share insights with cross-functional teams regarding access barriers and patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with privacy laws and handle patient information appropriately.
- Report adverse events as per company procedures.
