Come work for the best of the best! Our client, a global OEM of power meters, power quality, and power management, is seeking an experienced Relay / Power Systems Engineer to add to their growing team.
The position involves tasks such as designing, installing, testing, and commissioning relays; performing power system studies; troubleshooting relay issues; and supporting PRC compliance testing. Strong communication with customers and team members is essential, along with expertise in SEL relays and power systems. Responsibilities - What we need from you!
- In-depth knowledge of power systems and the role of various relay types in supporting generation, industrial operations, and data centers.
- Skilled in performing electrical engineering tasks related to replacing existing relays and installing new ones.
- Proficient in the installation, retrofitting, testing, and commissioning of relays.
- Conduct testing in compliance with PRC standards.
- Perform power system studies, including short circuit analysis, arc flash evaluations, and coordination studies.
- Provide support for acceptance and maintenance testing when power generation facilities remain operational.
- Design and update electrical schematics and drawings as needed.
- Adept at troubleshooting relay issues by comparing physical conditions with drawings or customer requirements.
- Extensive familiarity with SEL relays, particularly models 751, 351, 700G, 300G, and 311L.
