Job description

Choate is nationally recognized as a leading law firm for Corporate Restructuring, working with debtors, creditors, and equity sponsors on some of the country's most high-profile middle-market restructurings and bankruptcies. Our reputation with many of the world's leading banks, non-bank lenders, and mezzanine investors - including Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Truist Bank, Wells Fargo, John Hancock, JPMorgan, Barings, Citibank, and U.S. Bank - has enhanced our ability to work effectively with distressed companies in the most difficult stage of loan restructurings.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting in complex financial restructurings, workouts, and bankruptcy matters.
Will represent lenders, insurance companies, private equity and institutional investors, and corporate clients throughout the United States.

Qualifications

4-6 years of experience, ideally in a large law firm.

Strong academic credentials.

Excellent professional judgment.

Highly motivated to provide exceptional client service.

Strong desire for personal and professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Significant experience working on DIP financing and cash collateral transactions, Section 363 sales, and / or bankruptcy litigation is strongly preferred.

Schedule

The Firm is currently operating in a hybrid model, with the requirement that everyone should be in the office at least four days per week. This schedule is subject to change dependent on Firm, department and client needs, and will be routinely evaluated.

Work Authorization

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by the Firm (either now or in the future).
