Job description
The C.W. Williams Community Health Center, Inc is seeking a methodical and strategic grants writer to work with our organization in enhancing funding models, identifying new sources of funding, and developing sustainable and effective grants programs.
RESPONSIBILITES :
Oversee and assist with the organization’s grant application process and reporting requirements.
Determine and create plans to streamline the grants administration process.
Conduct pertinent research, seek funding opportunities, and assess the outcomes.
Directly participate in grant writing by working with project coordinators and / or grant writers.
Investigate reputable funding opportunities and share with supervisor.
Ensure the grants are used for the organization’s operational and financial requirements.
Inform the appropriate staff of approaching due dates and deliverables to ensure that tasks are completed on time.
Monitor the performance of other grant-related personnel, including project coordinators and administrators.
Monitor the invoicing, accounting, reporting, and other administrative tasks to guarantee the process is carried out successfully.
Assist with preparing financial reports, budget plans, and allocation reports in collaboration with the Finance department.
Make suggestions for cost reduction and cost control for various grants after analyzing budget patterns.
Report in-depth information about the organization’s development progress to the appointed supervisor.
Keep track of the documentation and other supporting materials for grant-funded projects.
Keep track of all receipts and payments and provide reports as instructed for all grant-related activity.
Train the incoming and terminated grant-funded employees to ensure proper allocations across grants.
Track deliverables of grant-funded projects and report progress to appointed supervisor.
Maintain grants database and generate reports as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS :
BS in Business Administration or any related equivalent
Outstanding project management abilities and practical management and supervision expertise in administrative projects
Methodical and strategic thinking
Good communication skills
Project management skills
Excellent organizational skills
Budgeting and accounting experience
Computer literacy
Knowledge of auditing policies
Knowledge of donor agencies
Strong writing skills
3-5 years of grants management experience preferred
