Job description

Title : Tax Reporting Analyst

Location : Spain

Job Purpose : As part of Millicom's continuous improvement drive through the execution of our Digital Lifestyle strategy, this role supports the Group Tax team in its tax reporting and compliance deliverables by :

  • Ensuring relevant tax reporting data is readily available to the Group Tax Team.
  • Conducting high-level reviews of tax reporting deliverables from Operations (OpCos).
  • Managing the Procure to Pay process on behalf of the Group Tax Team.
  • Liaising with the Operations and Corporate Accounting teams.
  • Ensuring the tax risk reports are correctly reflected in the system and adequately disclosed in the Financial Statements.
  • dding value to the business by working with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality tax reporting, management of tax risks, and execution of tax compliance.

Core Responsibilities :

Tax Reporting :

  • dministering and monitoring the group's tax risk matrices submitted by the OpCos in the system (TRM) and ensuring compliance with related SOX controls.
  • Supporting the HQ tax team in generating reports during disclosure periods.
  • Coordinating and communicating with different tax teams across the Group during disclosure periods.
  • ssisting in the preparation of information request lists related to tax audits performed across the Group.
  • Supporting the design, formal documentation, and presentations for a variety of in-person and remote audiences.
  • Maintaining an updated set of tax reports to enable proper analysis by the Group Tax Team.
  • Refreshing existing reports with the latest information in the financial system (FCCS).
  • Uploading or updating existing reports with deliverables from OpCos.
  • Creating ad-hoc queries to FCCS using SmartView and / or directly within FCCS.
  • Performing initial high-level analytical reviews of tax reporting deliverables from OpCos
  • Managing a status monitor of validation errors or open questions pending resolution.
  • Monitoring the timely submission of tax reports from OpCos to produce KPIs.
  • Sharing daily status updates with the Group Tax Team during month-end closings.

    • Managing the Procure to Pay Processes on Behalf of the Group Tax Team :

  • Creating purchase requisitions in Oracle EBS.
  • Liaising with the Shared Service Center on the creation of Purchase Orders, processing of invoicing, and payments to suppliers.
  • Monitoring the team's Purchase Orders and related available balances.
  • cting as the point of contact between the Group Tax Team and its relevant vendors.
  • ssisting with ad hoc tax requests from the Tax Assurance team.

    • Requirements / Qualifications / Technical Skills :

  • Experience or knowledge in tax accounting.
  • Tax-related degree.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and oral).
  • Familiarity with Oracle EBS; FCCS knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to produce reports and effectively use pivot tables.
