POSITION TITLE: Research Analyst

SUMMARY:
AIP is seeking a full-time Research Analyst to assist in conducting social science studies of education and employment in the physical sciences. As the Research Analyst, you will play a critical role in the implementation of research studies. Bring your passion and connect with all corners of the physical sciences, engage with some of the most prominent researchers in the field, get an inside look at new discoveries and developments, and learn something new every day.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Work as part of a team conducting quantitative and qualitative research of the scientific enterprise.
Perform analysis using statistical software.
Perform database management.
Manage mailings.
Assist with participant interviews/focus groups, transcript editing, and qualitative coding.
Assist in questionnaire development, interpretation, and report production.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Bachelor's degree or higher in social science, statistics, physics, or a related field required.
Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics required.
Experience with coding software for data analysis (R preferred), excellent computer skills, and excellent written communication skills are highly desired.
Experience with social science research, including surveys, focus groups, and/or interviews is required.
Must be very detail oriented, organized, and able to multitask. Project management skills and the ability to work independently.

COMPENSATION: $64,952.00 - $71,447.00

The team works in a flexible, hybrid schedule and reports to our offices in College Park, Maryland and Washington, DC, as needed. Employees are required to reside in the DC Metro regions of Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC.
