The incumbent will use their analysis of data to create comprehensive prospective donor research profiles, event bios, due-diligence screenings, and various requested reports related to prospect research. The incumbent will also be responsible for working with the department of Administrative Technology on large-scale data imports to ensure efficiency and database accuracy. The incumbent will follow applicable University and University Advancement policies and procedures, and follow applicable best practices and protocols outlined by the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA).

Two years of administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. Experience using paid prospect research tools (i.e. ResearchPoint, LexisNexis, LiveAlumni, and/or other resources). Experience working with constituent relationship management databases. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling, along with the ability to effectively write and present reports and other documents in a professional manner. Demonstrated technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software. Must have the ability to: take initiative and manage multiple projects using excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines; handle confidential and sensitive information at all times; and work collaboratively as part of a team in a diverse environment. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment.

Desired Qualifications: Prior experience researching individuals in a higher education fundraising organization. Experience working with Raiser's Edge and using Query and ImportOmatic in the Raiser's Edge database. Thorough knowledge of ResearchPoint wealth screening results and Target Analytics modeling scores. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas and PivotTables.

Closing Date: Review of applications will begin on May 12, 2026, and will continue until the position is filled; however, the position may close when an adequate number of qualified applications are received. A COMPLETED ON-LINE CAL STATE LA EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION IS REQUIRED. RESUMES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN LIEU OF A COMPLETED APPLICATION.

The person holding this position is considered a "mandated reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 revised July 21, 2017, as a condition of employment. In addition to meeting fully its obligations under federal and state law, California State University, Los Angeles is committed to creating a community in which a diverse population can live and work in an atmosphere of tolerance, civility and respect for the rights and sensibilities of each individual.
