Abortion Care : At PPRM, we all work in abortion care. This role supports abortion care through direct clinical triage, patient education, and follow-up, ensuring timely and empathetic support to those navigating abortion services.
What You'll Do :
- Provides direct medical care in both family planning, gynecologic, and abortion services in accordance with Planned Parenthood Federation of America Medical Standards and Guidelines and PPRM clinical protocols and operating procedures.
- Provide comprehensive family planning, gynecologic, and abortion care in compliance with PPFA and PPRM standards.
- Perform first and second trimester abortion procedures (up to 24+ weeks) and medication abortion in-clinic and via telemedicine.
- Lead patient care teams in managing complex medical and psychosocial cases, including procedural complications.
- Supervise and train Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC), mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and billing in electronic health records.
- Support and participate in staff training programs; provide clinical consultation to medical and nursing staff.
- Serve as Principal Investigator for clinical research projects; oversee compliance, review protocols, and integrate research into clinical operations.
- Pursue and develop internal and external research initiatives; supervise research staff and student projects.
- Collaborate with Medical Director on physician services, policy implementation, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in hiring, supervision, and evaluation of medical staff; provide guidance to ensure autonomous APC practice and review patient incident reports.
Who You Are :
Our Ideal Candidate :
Board Certified or has achieved Active Candidate status for Board Certification, preferred Obstetrician / Gynecologist, with full range of reproductive health care, including gynecologic services, contraception services, colposcopy, and first and second trimester abortions. If Active Candidate, must take and pass the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology Certifying Examination (achieving Board Certification) within 2 years of hire. Preferred surgical proficiency to 24+ weeks gestation in the outpatient setting.
Preferred to have practiced outpatient gynecology within the past two years and proficiency in common gynecologic outpatient procedures (ie colposcopy, LEEP, hysteroscopy, moderate sedation in the outpatient setting, etc.).
Must be able to work within a research team and serve as Principal Investigator (PI) for externally sponsored studies. Preferred experience as PI with success in obtaining grant funding, authoring protocols and proposals, leading a research team and / or achieving publication.
Participation in scientific meetings and publication in peer-reviewed journals preferred.
This position requires travel to work at health centers in PPRM’s service area and to attend conferences and regionally and nationally as needed. A flexible schedule is a must for this role.
Full Salary Range : $227, - $305,
