RTX Technology Research Center (RTRC) serves as the innovation hub for RTX. Position Summary
The Aerodynamics & Acoustics team at RTX Technology Research Center invites individuals with aerodynamics and / or aeroacoustics expertise and strong analytical and numerical physics-based modeling skills to apply for an open position. We are seeking a Senior Research Engineer to join our cohesive team of engineers and technicians who are focused on developing innovative technologies and solving challenging problems for aerospace and defense applications.
What You Will Do :
- The successful candidate will collaborate within multidisciplinary teams in areas such as propulsion systems, turbomachinery, compression systems, and high-speed flows.
- Delivery of advanced technology through creative analysis and problem solving; to possess the ability to select and deploy appropriate modeling fidelity for a given problem including the application of high-fidelity computational models
- Communicate research results effectively through both verbal and written means
- Participate in the creation of research proposals to RTX business units and government agencies.

Hybrid : Employees who are working in hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
