Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Under supervision, the clinical research tech supports clinical studies by collecting urine and blood specimens from study participants, processing, interviewing, data entry, and performing other components of the physical exam as needed. This is a part-time (20 hours a week) position.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent with two years' experience in a clinical research environment. Bachelor's degree preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and / or REGISTRATION
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills necessary
- Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Ability to follow directions carefully, and once trained, to work with a minimum of direct supervision
- Possesses the ability to continually learn new computer skills and update existing skills
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and to work cooperatively with peers
- Ability to perform role in a team environment
- Initiative and sound judgment are displayed in crisis or unexpected situations
