Job Summary :
Rising Ground Justice for Youth and Families is currently looking to hire a Residence Manager for one of our juvenile justice facilities (LSP / NSP / NSD) who will be responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the facility and the effective management of staff. The Residence Manager is the main link in assuring the provision of safe, secure, orderly, and quality services to all person supported who are placed in the program. The Residence Manager will run a home characterized by a supportive and therapeutic environment, conducive to self-improvement, and assure fidelity to utilizing Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) in conjunction with other models such as CBT, MYSI, Seven Challenges to support the milieu experience.
Job Responsibilities :
- Assure that the manager respective facility complies with agency, city and state standards, and that staffing ratios are maintained.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain s95 or F80 FDNY fire alarms certifications.
- Support the principles of the Missouri Youth Institute (MYSI), Seven Challenges, ROCA CBT" with the end goal of teaching the young people to make positive, lasting changes in
their behavior and prepare them to be self-sufficient through education and work experience.
Qualifications
Supervisory Responsibility :
The Residence Manager will assume supervisory responsibilities for all assigned staff including FT Youth Counselors, Assistant Residence Managers, Control Room Staff (LSP only) and Per Diem Staff.
Work Environment :
The Residence Manager will be based out of their assigned residential location. The Residence Manager will work 5 days per week in person within JYF facilities. 1 remote day may be available based on approval by Director of Operations.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :
Full time position, 35 hours per week. Although general hours will be 9AM-5PM the Residence Manager will need to be extremely flexible to fit the needs of the program, often work late evenings, weekends, holidays or as needed by the demand of the program. The Residence Manager will be available to staff / persons supported 24 / 7 / 365. Utilize and model the appropriate techniques and procedures of SCM. Ensure all staff maintain consistent application of trained interventions, procedures, and responses (e.g., behavior support plans use and youth debriefings procedures).
