The Attendant Care professional is responsible for providing non-medical support and assistance to clients in their residences. The goal is to ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment that enhances the quality of life and promotes the independence and dignity of each client. Services include assistance with daily household tasks, errands, meal preparation, and companionship, while adhering to company and regulatory standards.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities


Administrative Duties:
  • Accurately complete visit documentation and verify service forms in a timely manner.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA policies.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, their families, coworkers, and community partners.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Participate in agency-required in-service training and continuing education as needed.
Service and Care Duties:
  • Ensure a clean, healthy, and safe living space for clients.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping areas used by the client.
  • Clean bedrooms, living spaces, and other client-utilized areas.
  • Wash dishes and ensure kitchen tidiness following client use.
  • Prepare simple, nutritious meals according to client needs and preferences.
  • Run essential errands such as grocery shopping, pharmacy trips, and bill payments.
  • Perform laundry and linen services, including washing, folding, ironing, and changing bed linens.
  • Promote a warm, pleasant, and respectful home atmosphere.
Education / Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must meet all state and federal training requirements for Attendant Care services.
  • Must be capable of providing support as outlined in the client’s Attendant Care Service Plan.
  • Must be able to read and write in English proficiently.
