About the Role
Magna Steyr is looking for talented and experienced team members to join the Electrical and Electronics Engineering team. Looking for candidates who are determined and passionate about developing the next generation of technology. The Resident Engineer would be responsible for leading EE activities related to design, development, Integration, Testing & Validation activities for the EE systems. This position has high level of responsibility and visibility and will interface with OEMs, Magna divisions, global module group teams and Tier 2 suppliers.
Your Responsibilities
Technical Responsibility
Contribute to the Global Technical Area (GTA) strategy and growth of the engineering team
- Responsible for supporting all E / E activities for multiple platforms from development to launch
- Responsible for supporting all customer (OEM) activities onsite for Integration, testing & validation
- Responsible for communications with OEM, suppliers, and coordinating with internal global teams
- Support prototype builds, lead customer meetings, workshops with OEM, Suppliers, and third parties
- Support OEM to track issues during design, testing, Validation, & production phases and coordinate with internal team to ensure issues are getting resolved in a timely and priority manner
- Support OEM to ensure product timing, release of SW / HW and quality targets are met
- Support calibration, testing and validation activities with suppliers and OEM
- Support vehicle instrumentation, data collection, activities with internal teams to support customers
- Confirm customer deliverables are on schedule and meeting program timing (ex. DVP&R, DFMEA)
