Resident Care Manager (PLN or RN) - Posting #27290

Salary : $90,000

Position Summary :

Full-time Resident Care Manager position available immediate for our Behavioral Health department in Seattle, WA. The Resident Care Manager will coordinate, manage and supervise Resident care as assigned. This includes the responsibility of implementing and ensuring completion of systems of care. Establishes and implements Nursing Dept. policies and procedures. The Resident Care Manager must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the residents served, knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, and be able to identify and work to meet each resident's age-specific needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Work closely with the Patient / Client, the Client's Provider and other members of the interdisciplinary team in coordinating care and services.
• Provide direct care and services to Patients / Clients as per organizational protocol, i.e. - insulin monitoring and injections, etc.
• Give / receive shift report to / from in-coming LPN, RN and to CNAs and Med Techs on shift
• Supervise the on-floor work of CNAs and Med Techs to insure quality care and services to all Residents, at all times.
• Consistently practice Universal precautions and sterile technique, as required.
• Provide direct supervision of nursing staff as assigned (24 hour accountability).
• Ensure that all incident reports are completed and reported per state regulations.
• Demonstrate technical nursing skills.
• Coordinate new employee orientation and orientation for employees in a new position / role.
• Will complete payroll responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Complete yearly performance evaluations and competency tests for staff.
• Counsels / reprimands / terminates personnel as per organizational policies and procedures and Union contract.
• Participates in organizational / community events and activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
