Job Description
Oversee day-to-day HR operations within the manufacturing facility.
Maintain and update employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Ensure the HR department's activities comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
Manage the recruitment process including job postings, interviews, and selection of candidates.
Coordinate with department heads to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future staffing needs.
Act as a liaison between management and employees to address employee grievances and concerns.
Foster a positive work environment and promote effective communication within the plant.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
Oversee the performance review process, ensuring timely completion and consistency across the plant.
Work with supervisors to identify performance issues and develop improvement plans.
Provide guidance and support to managers on employee development and performance enhancement.
Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements, including safety and regulatory training.
Promote continuous learning and development opportunities within the facility.
Administer employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry standards.
Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and other HR-related issues.
Monitor and analyze compensation trends to ensure competitive and fair compensation practices.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
Conduct regular audits of HR processes and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure a safe working environment.
Promote adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
Manage workers' compensation claims and facilitate return-to-work programs.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required
5+ years office management; preferably in a manufacturing setting
Proven experience in managing HR staff and overseeing HR operations
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software applications
