Position Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, daily accounting, general ledger, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities :
Payroll Management : Process bi-weekly / monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Handle payroll tax reporting and payments. Maintain payroll records and handle employee payroll inquiries.
General Ledger Accounting : Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely. Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Prepare and post journal entries.
Daily Accounting Operations : Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly / quarterly forecasts. Monitor budget performance and prepare variance analyses.
Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist in the preparation of reports for management and external stakeholders.
Great Plains General Ledger Experience : Utilize Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) for all general ledger functions. Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Great Plains system.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification is preferred but not required.
5 – 7 years of experience in accounting
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Minimum of 2 years experience managing and processing payroll
Prior experience working in a medical practice environment with 50+ employees is highly desired
Proficiency in Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) is essential.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll regulations.
