Job description

Position Summary

The Revenue Integrity Analyst is responsible for performing and implementing charge capture and process improvement initiatives to optimize performance and improve revenue management. This position is also responsible for conducting root cause analysis, developing corrective action plans, educating internal customers, and monitoring results. This position will collaborate with the Revenue Integrity Team to operationalize Phoenix Childrenâ€s Revenue Integrity strategy and plan for improving revenue results across all departments, financial processes, functions, and interdependencies from the provision of patient care to final payments.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data analytics, healthcare administration, or health information management, OR equivalent years of related experience. (Required)
  • MBA, MSN, or Master's degree. (Preferred)

Experience

  • Five (5) years of healthcare revenue cycle experience demonstrating strong financial acumen, ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and a solid foundational knowledge of general healthcare billing, Federal and State regulatory environment, CDM structure, and compliant charge capture. (Required)
  • Experience with process improvement strategies designed to streamline workflow, eliminate waste, and optimize technologies. (Required)
  • Career appropriate experience based on job description essential functions. (Required)
  • Certifications

  • LEAN or Six Sigma training and certification. (Preferred)
  • Coding credential (, CHFP, CHC, CPC, etc.). (Preferred)
  • Special Skills

  • Strong financial acumen to perform comprehensive data analysis, interpret qualitative and quantitative results, and conduct financial price / cost analysis. (Required)
  • Proven ability to determine key business issues and develop effective action plans from multi-disciplinary perspectives. (Required)
  • Sound knowledge of general healthcare billing, payer contracting and reimbursement, and applicable Federal and State laws and regulations related to the healthcare industry. (Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use process redesign and change management tools (LEAN or Six Sigma). (Required)
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with a focus on time sensitive management and the ability to prioritize. (Required)
  • Ability to impact change through influence and collaboration. (Required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. (Required)
  • Self-starter, well organized, and detail oriented. (Required)
  • Proficient in electronic health systems. (Required)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including : Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access. (Required)
