Job description

Director Of Revenue Cycle Operations

Ageless Men's Health is a rapidly growing national healthcare organization specializing in medically managed testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), weight management, skin care, and concierge medicine. With more than 90 clinics nationwide, we are continuing to expand our clinical footprint and invest in the systems, people, and infrastructure needed to support that growth.

About the Role

Ageless Men's Health is seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle Operations to provide strategic leadership across our healthcare Business Operations function.

This role will oversee the strategic direction and optimization of revenue cycle, medical billing, insurance and payer operations, operational processes, reporting, and process improvement, and will serve as the operational point of contact for our EMR and healthcare technology vendors.

This Director will partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership while providing direction, mentorship, and leadership to the Director of Business Operations and broader Business Operations team.

The ideal candidate brings significant experience from a multi-site healthcare organization, preferably urgent care, ambulatory care, primary care, specialty medicine, or another complex outpatient healthcare environment. This individual should be able to evaluate existing operations, identify opportunities for improvement, bring forward industry best practices, and develop scalable strategies to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the strategic direction of healthcare Business Operations.
  • Evaluate existing processes, systems, and workflows and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and standardization.
  • Establish scalable operational strategies and best practices across the organization.
  • Stay current on healthcare industry trends, payer changes, technology, and emerging best practices.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organizational growth.
  • Provide strategic oversight of revenue cycle, billing, claims, collections, denials, and accounts receivable.
  • Evaluate insurance and payer processes and identify opportunities to improve reimbursement and reduce revenue leakage.
  • Partner with Finance and Business Operations leadership to monitor performance and establish appropriate KPIs.
  • Evaluate internal processes and external vendors supporting revenue cycle and payer operations.
  • Partner with our EMR and healthcare technology vendors on operational requirements, system enhancements, and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system utilization, automation, reporting, and workflows.
  • Translate revenue cycle and clinic operations needs into clear written requirements for vendors, and confirm delivered changes work as intended.
  • Surface system gaps that create manual work, rework, or reporting blind spots, with a recommended path to resolution.
  • Establish and monitor meaningful healthcare operations KPIs and reporting.
  • Use data to identify trends, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and develop standardized, scalable workflows.
  • Evaluate operational infrastructure and identify requirements associated with continued clinic growth.
  • Proactively identify challenges and opportunities before they impact organizational performance.
  • Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and coaching to the Director of Business Operations and Business Operations team.
  • Establish clear priorities, expectations, and accountability across the function.
  • Develop operational leaders and foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Clinical Operations, Human Resources, Compliance, and other departments on cross-functional initiatives.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare operations leader who understands both the day-to-day realities of healthcare operations and the strategic infrastructure required to scale a national organization.

You are:

  • Strategic and proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities without being asked.
  • Experienced in multi-site healthcare operations.
  • Comfortable evaluating existing processes and challenging the status quo when appropriate.
  • Deeply knowledgeable in healthcare revenue cycle, billing, and insurance/payer operations, with practical working knowledge of EMR systems.
  • Experienced in developing and monitoring operational KPIs.
  • A strong mentor who can develop and elevate operational leadership.
  • Comfortable communicating with executive leadership and influencing across departments.
  • Analytical, solutions-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with practical execution.
  • Experienced in leading change within a growing organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Services, or related field required.
  • 8+ years of progressive healthcare operations experience.
  • 5+ years of healthcare leadership experience.
  • Experience in a multi-site healthcare organization required.
  • Experience in urgent care, ambulatory care, primary care, specialty medicine, or another outpatient healthcare environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience with revenue cycle, medical billing, insurance/payer operations, or related healthcare financial functions.
  • Hands-on experience working within EMR/EHR systems in an operational capacity, including managing vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing operational strategies and process improvements.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing operational teams.
  • Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership.
