The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG welding processes and have the ability to read blueprints to fabricate and assemble high-quality metal components. This role is essential to our production operations, and a strong work ethic and attention to detail are a must.

Responsibilities :

  • Read and accurately interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to ensure products meet design specifications and tolerances.
  • Select and set up welding equipment, including adjusting wire feed speed, amperage, and voltage for optimal weld quality.
  • Position, clamp, and tack-weld workpieces, jigs, and fixtures to secure parts for welding.
  • Inspect completed welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and proper penetration, using weld gauges and other measuring tools.
  • Perform grinding, cleaning, and finishing of welds as required.
  • Conduct routine daily maintenance and inspection of welding machines and other equipment.
  • Adhere to all company and OSHA safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Required skills and qualifications :

  • 3 years of prior MIG welding experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using measuring devices such as tape measures, squares, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Background check and drug test prior to hire
  • Physical demands :

  • Ability to stand for up to 8–10 hours per day, with periods of walking or sitting as needed.
  • Capability to lift and move raw materials and finished weldments up to 50 pounds regularly, with assistance for heavier items.
  • Physical stamina to handle repetitive movements, bending, kneeling, and working in various positions.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, dust, and fumes.
  • Benefits :

  • Full benefits including health insurance, PTO, and a pay rate between $20-26 / hr depending on experience.
