Shift: Monday Friday | 4: 30 PM 3: 00 AM (Occasional Saturdays as Needed)

Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced ASME Code Header Welder to join a growing fabrication team on the night shift in Tulsa. This position is responsible for producing high-quality, code-compliant welds on headers and related pressure-containing components using GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux Core) welding processes while meeting ASME quality standards.
The ideal candidate has previous code welding experience, can read fabrication drawings independently, and consistently produces precise welds in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous experience as an ASME Code Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Proficiency with GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux Core) welding processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols
Strong understanding of welding procedures and quality standards
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing code-quality welds
Ability to successfully complete the required weld test
Reliable attendance and strong commitment to workplace safety
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform welding on ASME code headers and related fabricated components
Utilize GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux Core) welding processes to complete production welds
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and production specifications
Ensure completed welds meet ASME code requirements and customer quality standards
Inspect completed welds for dimensional accuracy, appearance, and compliance
Maintain welding equipment and workstations in proper operating condition
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company housekeeping standards
Follow all company safety procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements
Work overtime and occasional Saturdays as production demands require
Weld Test Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete:
2G GMAW (MIG) Root Pass
FCAW (Flux Core) Fill and Cap
Preferred Qualifications
GTAW (TIG) welding experience
Previous experience working to ASME Code standards
Experience welding pressure vessels, boilers, piping systems, or header assemblies
Strong knowledge of heavy industrial fabrication practices
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
Ability to safely work around heavy steel, welding equipment, heat, sparks, and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working in a physically demanding fabrication environment
Work Environment
Heavy industrial fabrication and manufacturing facility
Exposure to welding equipment, fabrication machinery, overhead cranes, heavy steel, heat, sparks, and industrial noise
Fast-paced production environment focused on precision, quality, safety, and ASME code compliance
Occasional Saturday overtime available based on production schedules
