Position Overview

As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will work closely with a team of professionals to assess and mitigate risks associated with onboarding prospective clients. You will focus on creating comprehensive risk narratives and making strategic recommendations while navigating the complexities of AML regulations, BSA compliance, and corporate treasury products. Your role will require a subjective, analytical approach to decision-making that balances compliance requirements with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed risk narratives and recommendations for onboarding high-value commercial clients, ensuring compliance with AML and BSA regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses, including KYC, CDD, and EDD, to assess potential risks associated with client accounts and services.
• Review and write Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate the suitability of treasury management products, such as international wires origination and ACH services, for clients’ business models.
• Maintain a deep understanding of commercial banking processes and large corporate compliance requirements to support effective decision-making.

Qualifications

Experience in AML / KYC / CDD / EDD

A strong foundation in anti-money laundering processes and customer due diligence.

Commercial Banking Expertise

Demonstrated experience working in or with commercial banking, particularly with large corporate clients.

Corporate Compliance Knowledge

Familiarity with large-scale compliance processes and related risk assessments.

SAR Writing Experience

Proven ability to draft detailed and compliant Suspicious Activity Reports in the context of AML / BSA.

Certifications (preferred, not required) : Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification.
