The Electrical Engineer is responsible for performing basic electrical power, lighting, and low voltage system engineering tasks for electrical construction projects, under the direct supervision of an upper level Engineer, Senior Electrical Designer, or Engineering Team Leader as assigned by the Corporate Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD / Revit knowledge is required, knowledge of electrical terminology and symbols is required, and knowledge of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education : Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
Education : Bachelors Degree in Architectural Engineering - Electrical
Education : Associate Degree in Electrical Technology
Experience : 4 years of progressive electrical engineering related
Travel : Work Schedule :
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Studies technical drawings and worksheets to create or update an engineering model in ETAP
- Operates computer-assisted engineering and data entry software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and specifications, with direction from an upper-level Engineer.
- Modeling for short circuit and Arc Flash calculations
- Generating reports for customer, or updating spreadsheets based on calculations
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
