Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Position Summary : The OR RN is responsible for assessing patient needs before and during surgical procedures, ensuring safety, and delivering individualized perioperative care. This role provides leadership to the surgical team, coordinates patient care, and fosters effective communication among staff, patients, and families. Key Responsibilities : Patient Care (40%) – Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for surgical patients, maintaining a strong focus on patient safety. OR Management (30%) – Supervise room activity, coordinate schedule changes, prepare equipment and supplies, assist anesthesia, and maintain the sterile field. Communication (20%) – Collaborate effectively with patients, families, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff. Professional Development (10%) – Engage in continuing education, attend staff meetings, and support team growth through preceptorship and leadership opportunities.
