Key Responsibilities : - Estimating & Cost Analysis : - Analyze and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.- Develop detailed quantity take-offs and material / labor cost calculations.- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitive pricing and scope completeness.- Assess and apply historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy.- Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final estimates for a variety of commercial construction projects.- Bid Preparation & Proposal Development : - Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals in coordination with the preconstruction and project management teams.- Ensure all required bid documents, qualifications, and compliance requirements are met.- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify project scopes and address concerns.- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options to enhance project feasibility.- Market Research & Subcontractor Relations : - Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry professionals.- Stay updated on industry trends, market pricing, and new construction methodologies.- Conduct site visits as necessary to assess existing conditions and potential project challenges.- Project Coordination & Risk Assessment : - Identify potential risks and cost implications associated with project scope, materials, and labor.- Work closely with project teams to ensure estimates align with project goals and budget constraints.- Provide support during contract negotiations and preconstruction meetings.
