American Structurepoints Road Engineering Group is seeking an entry-level Staff Engineer in Tampa FL ! In this role youll work as part of a close-knit team on roadway projects for FDOT cities towns and counties throughout Florida. Most of your work will take place in the office with occasional site visits as you assist with quantity takeoffs create construction plan sets using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD) prepare design documentation and develop construction cost estimates. From large interstate and interchange projects to urban reconstructions rural maintenance and roundabouts youll gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of impactful transportation projects.

Responsibilities

What you will do :

Assist with the design and layout of roadway alignments both horizontal and vertical for real-world transportation projects

Get involved in key aspects of roadway design including geometry drainage signage pavement markings and maintenance of traffic

Help develop construction plan sets gaining experience in how projects are prepared for bidding and construction

Perform quantity calculations to support bid plan development and construction cost estimates

Explore additional areas like pavement analysis design and utility coordination for a well-rounded experience

Take on a variety of project support tasks learning how transportation engineering projects come to life from concept to construction

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Who you are :

Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a bachelors degree in civil engineering

04 years of relevant experience such as internships co-ops academic projects or entry-level engineering roles
