Piper Companies is seeking a Director of Technology Strategy and Governance to join an Insurance company. This position is Hybrid and requires you to be onsite in Newark on Tuesdays and Wednesday. The Director of Technology Strategy and Governance will provide technical expertise with innovative problem solving to shape the organizations technology direction and will oversee a team of technical architects and managing technology strategy development, IT architecture, and governance.

Responsibilities of the Director of Technology Strategy and Governance :

• Lead workshops with Executives and Senior Leaders to develop strategic roadmaps and investment portfolios.
• Identify and integrate emerging technologies and best practices to enhance capabilities.
• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts, roadmaps, and technical blueprints.
• Oversee technology assessments, rationalization, and selection processes.
• Establish and manage IT governance frameworks, including the Architecture Review Board.
• Mitigate technical risks and manage technology standards, lifecycles, and obsolescence.
• Manage vendor relationships, support RFP / RFQ processes, and assist with contract negotiations.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture

Salary Range : $160,000-$225,000
