Job Title : Safety DirectorJob Description Our leading construction company, specializing in commercial and residential projects across the Northeast, is looking for a Safety Director. Based in Merrimack, NH, with frequent travel to Burlington, VT, Portland, ME, and Dorchester, MA, the Safety Director will develop, implement, and oversee all safety programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections at project sites. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Provide safety training and education to employees and subcontractors. Investigate and report on accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address safety concerns. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role within the construction industry. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to travel frequently to project sites in Burlington, VT, Portland, ME, and Dorchester, MA. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) is preferred. Any safety certification is a plus. OSHA 500 is preferred but not required. Work Environment The position is based out of our office in Merrimack, NH, with required travel to job sites in Burlington, VT, Portland, ME, and Dorchester, MA. You will have the opportunity to start a safety division for a construction company with three different divisions. A company truck is provided.
