Summary
TAMCO is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Associate to ensure the highest standards of health and safety within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, with experience in policy development, training, and conducting safety audits. This role is essential for promoting a safe working environment and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Essential Job Functions
- Write and implement health and safety policies in compliance with OSHA standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety training sessions and ensure all employees are informed about safety protocols.
- Facilitate forklift training to ensure compliance and safe operation.
- Perform Job Hazard Analyses to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Conduct post-accident investigations, gather information and prepare reports, identify possible causes and hazards and take correct action.
- Ensure all new hires receive appropriate job safety orientation.
- Stay updated on relevant health and safety regulations to ensure organizational compliance while managing the company’s SDS / chemical log in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safety to ensure they remain current and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Support branch network safety needs and help support fleet vehicle safety.

Physical Demands
