Description
GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to assist in developing and implementing policies or programs meant to promote employee health and safety or environmental compliance. This position is eligible for our flexible hybrid work schedule out of one of our Pennsylvania offices. Stand out candidates outside of Pennsylvania will be considered. Job Duties :
- On-site observation of activities from a Health & Safety perspective.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs educating staff on environmental concerns or health and safety risks found in the organization, on-site or office setting.
- Ensure that training records, health / safety manuals or handbooks, incident / accident reports, or other documentation are appropriately maintained.
- Purchase and distribute personal protective equipment or other related supplies.
- Monitor known health, safety, or environmental hazards, such as noise, air, or wastewater pollution levels.
- Coordinate inspection of project sites, facilities, vehicles, or equipment.
- May develop and communicate facility-specific emergency response or evacuation plans.
- Implement changes to increase safety.
