Airgas is looking for a driven, relationship-focusedSafety Sales Specialistresponsible forcultivating and advancing sales growthwith an emphasis on safety supplies within anassigned region.This role involvesnurturing and maintainingstrong customer relationships,discovering and welcomingnew business opportunities, and providingtechnical expertise and guidancetoanticipate and supportcustomer goals.

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential customers andgenerate new leads.

  • Meet and advance sales goals for safety products and services.

  • Develop and execute strategic salesplans to identify, qualify, and partner with new customers within target industries.

  • Cultivate andmaintain strong relationshipswith existing customers, understanding their evolving needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Conduct technicalpresentationsand product demonstrations to educate and support customers on the features, benefits, and applications of Airgas safety products.

  • Collaboratewith internal teams, including account managers, customer service, and technical support, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and build alignment on solutions.

  • Prepareand present accuratesales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates to management.

  • Monitormarket trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback todiscover opportunities for product developmentorservice enhancements.

  • Facilitate agreement on pricing and contract termswith customers, adhering to company guidelines and profitability objectives.

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualification

  • At least 5+ years experience inwelding industry or safety sales to be considered.

  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to customer sites.

  • Strong understanding of products and processes.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to perform data entry in a computer and extract information on orders.

  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with insurance coverage as required by the company.

  • Ability to use tools, routinely lift 25 - 75 lb., climb, reach and perform various physical maneuvers to perform the essential duties of the job, with reasonable accommodation if necessary.

  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent plus five (5) years industry experience.

Pay range: Base $92,000.00

Incentive pay:This position is eligible for incentive compensation in the following program: Monthly Commission
