Position The Route Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Evening Courier department. This includes monitoring routes, ensuring adherence to processes, conducting team meetings, and facilitating training sessions. The role involves managing software for route building, supervising drivers, and ensuring timely and accurate specimen transport. Salary :  $60,000 per year Schedule : Monday through Friday, 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 00 PM Responsibilities Monitor and manage courier routes. Supervise evening and stat drivers, ensuring process adherence. Serve as the available supervisor for swing shift phlebotomists. Conduct team meetings and training sessions for the courier team. Oversee sample pickup, drop-off, and cargo shipments. Track and maintain fleet vehicles. Train new hires and support daily operations. Assist with dispatch and facility adjustments as needed. Oversee airline shipments to ensure the successful transport of specimens. Provide backup support for drivers during call-outs or overflow. Collaborate with lateral leaders to ensure smooth specimen transport flow. Train and coordinate training for the dispatch team to enable synergy between groups. Attend training sessions or meetings as required to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. At least 2 years of courier or delivery driving experience. Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Independent problem-solving skills. Familiarity with vehicle tracking and dispatching software. Basic computer skills. Adequate, reliable transportation with personal auto insurance. Clean driving record. Active smartphone with an adequate data plan. Ability to pass initial and annual background checks. Ideal Start Date : December 2, 2024, or whenever the right candidate is found.
