Job brief
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role is an inside sales role focused on prospecting and lead generation. You might be perfect for this role if you are just starting your sales career, have great networking skills, and can understand and assess our customer needs while effectively selling products and services.
This position focuses heavily on prospecting inbound and outbound leads while supporting transactional sales on a daily basis. As an opportunity finder, the role will center on qualifying leads and working with our Account Executives / Managers to close large opportunities.
An SDR will be fundamental in achieving our ambitious revenue growth and customer acquisition objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of daily calls, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and eventually closing sales. SDRs are the first step in our sales process, finding opportunities within our current customer list and transitioning new customers from initial sales to account management.
Responsibilities
- Follow up and track inbound leads or new sales opportunities
- Prospect outbound leads via cold calls and email communication strategies
- Understand customer needs and requirements
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate members of the Sales Team for further development and closure
- Assist with account research to identify key players and generate interest
- Familiarize yourself with our product offerings through ongoing training and educational opportunities
- Close sales and achieve quarterly activity quotas along with other similar objectives
