Job Summary

The Sales Director is responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market strategy for Supermicro. This includes building plans and programs to drive business in new markets and customer segments, leveraging our channels and strategic partnerships. The role involves strategic planning and execution to generate revenue and requires strong cross-functional collaboration across all organization levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire and retain customer accounts
  • Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities in Financial Services, Enterprise, Data Centers / Cloud, Gaming, and HPC industries
  • Conduct outbound calls to potential System integrators, VARs, and OEM customers
  • Engage with high-level executives to uncover revenue opportunities
  • Build a pipeline of short-term and long-term opportunities in targeted vertical markets
  • Manage inventory, negotiate prices, monitor orders, facilitate credit issues, and handle returns
  • Travel to customer sites to present products and maintain account relationships
  • Supervise and develop sales team members, providing training and performance management
  • Prepare weekly sales and customer meeting reports as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • At least 10+ years of experience in server, storage, networking, or AI sales
  • Results-driven with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, and judgment
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% or as needed
  • Salary Range

    159,000 - $193,000, depending on experience and other factors. Benefits include a comprehensive package, bonuses, and equity participation.
