Job description

Sales Engineer

This role blends technical expertise with consultative sales to deliver high-value HVAC solutions across a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Development & Sales

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.

  • Identify customer needs, deliver solution-based presentations, and develop customized proposals, pricing, and cost estimates.

  • Drive sales growth through consultative selling and long-term account development.

Technical & Product Expertise

  • Maintain deep knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, controls, and emerging technologies.

  • Communicate the value and application of the full product portfolio with confidence and credibility.

  • Stay current on industry trends, codes, and competitive offerings.

Project & Customer Support

  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and service teams to ensure timely project execution and issue resolution.

  • Act as a key point of contact throughout the sales and project lifecycle to ensure customer satisfaction.

Market & Business Intelligence

  • Analyze project outcomes and market activity to identify customer needs, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities.

  • Provide actionable feedback to internal teams on market trends and product performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, engineering, construction, building automation, controls, service, sales engineering, or system design.

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate complex concepts into customer-focused solutions.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.

  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel regionally up to 25%.
