Metals Warehouse Worker

Job Summary : We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Metals Warehouse Worker to join our team. This position involves handling and packing metal materials, lifting heavy items, and occasionally operating machines for cutting metals. The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and exceptional attendance, as these qualities are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities :

Handle, move, and store metal materials within the warehouse, ensuring items are organized and easily accessible.

Pack metal products securely for shipment, ensuring that items are properly labeled and ready for delivery.

Lift and transport heavy metal materials (up to 50 lbs or more) safely and efficiently.

Operate machines and equipment (e.g., cutting tools, saws) to cut metal products as needed.

Assist with inventory control, tracking and documenting materials in and out of the warehouse.

Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, safe, and organized, adhering to safety standards at all times.

Assist with loading and unloading trucks or containers as necessary.

Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues to supervisors.

Follow all safety guidelines and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing tasks.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and goals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Job Requirements :

Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or materials handling environment is preferred.

Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs or more) safely.

Basic knowledge of metal materials and warehouse operations is a plus.

Occasional machine operation experience (cutting or similar machines) is a plus.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to punctuality and excellent attendance.

Willingness to follow all safety protocols and work as part of a team.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. (training provided if needed).

Physical Requirements :

Ability to stand, lift, and carry heavy materials for extended periods.

Ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs or more.

Ability to work in hot, noisy, and industrial environments.

Must be able to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00 / hr.
