Job Summary :

We are seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in SAS to Python migration to join our Data Engineering team at the Disney Decision Science + Integration (DDSI) organization. This role involves collaborating with various teams to translate, enhance, and modernize legacy SAS analytics into our contemporary tech stack, ensuring a seamless transition and validating transformations through a structured test plan. The successful candidate will contribute to leveraging technology, data analytics, and modeling to drive business value across various segments of The Walt Disney Company.

Key Responsibilities :

• Translate, develop, implement, and modernize SAS analytic code to Python within the current tech ecosystem, including SQL, Snowflake, and Airflow.
• Collaborate with Decision Science, Product Teams, and Technology team members on development, sustainment projects, and ad-hoc requests.
• Develop a comprehensive test plan to ensure accurate SAS to Python migration and code functionality.
• Partner in prototyping and research initiatives by providing expert data pipeline and database engineering services.
• Engage in continuous learning and skill development related to new technologies and practices to maintain and enhance the value brought to the business.

Must-Have Skills :

Industry Experience : Experience in the entertainment or media industry, particularly with The Walt Disney Company's structure and segments, is beneficial but not essential.
