About the Role

The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining efficient production schedules that optimize machine utilization, meet customer delivery requirements, and minimize downtime. This role requires strong technical knowledge of corrugated manufacturing processes and converting operations, as well as proficiency in scheduling software tools. You will work closely with customer service, operations, and shipping teams to ensure seamless execution and timely communication.

Key Responsibilities

Required :

  • Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules for corrugator and converting lines.
  • Utilize Axiom in conjunction with the planning board to optimize scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with customer service to prioritize orders and meet delivery commitments.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address changes or disruptions.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and reporting within scheduling systems.
  • Communicate effectively with operations and shipping teams to resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards throughout scheduling activities.

Preferred :

  • Experience implementing scheduling best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Amtech or similar ERP systems.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members on scheduling processes.
  • Qualifications

    Required :

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in production scheduling within the corrugated packaging industry.
  • Hands-on experience with both corrugator and converting operations.
  • Proficiency in Axiom scheduling software and planning board tools.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Preferred

  • Experience in customer service or order management within packaging manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Environment

  • Manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and machinery.
  • Requires frequent interaction with production floor personnel and office staff.
  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary : $85,000-$100,000 annually (depending on experience).
