Job description

Manager / Senior Manager, Scheduling (Global)

Over the last 20 years, Ares' success has been driven by our people and our culture. Today, our team is guided by our core values Collaborative, Responsible, Entrepreneurial, Self-Aware, Trustworthy and our purpose to be a catalyst for shared prosperity and a better future. Through our recruitment, career development and employee-focused programming, we are committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive work environment where high-performance talent of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives can build careers within this exciting and growing industry.

Ada Infrastructure is a global data center business committed to being a positive force for technology, people, and the planet. As part of the digital infrastructure platform of Ares Management Corporation, a leading global alternative investment manager, Ada Infrastructure is positioned to be a leader in the industry in reliable, safe, secure, and sustainable digital infrastructure. With nine in-flight campuses across the US, Japan, the UK, and Brazil, we have over 850 MW of power currently available and more than 1,500 MW in our global pipeline.

This role is an excellent opportunity to join a deeply experienced and high-performing team with the ability to directly impact and contribute to Ada's development program. Our team combines industry-wide experience and in-country expertise across all our regions. We are committed to collaborating cross-functionally and partnering to drive efficient and effective solutions that meet the needs of our internal and external stakeholders.

The Global Design, Development and Delivery team is responsible for developing and curating Ada's global datacenter development program through scalable, repeatable and agile tools and processes that enable our global development. We are committed to collaborating cross-functionally and partnering to drive efficient and effective solutions that meet the needs of our internal and external stakeholders. We provide global leadership and direction that enables our regional teams to design and deliver scalable future ready solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

We are looking for a Manager / Senior Manager, Scheduling (Global) who owns the schedule dimension of project controls for North America based projects and global level coordination. This includes baseline schedule development and maintenance, critical path and near-critical path management, schedule risk mitigation, progress transparency, and schedule-focused change governance (including time impact analysis). This role has day-to-day responsibility for scheduling execution in North America (including oversight of external planning/scheduling consultants) and partners with regional development and delivery teams to execute projects in line with schedule benchmarks, underwriting assumptions, and scheduling standards.

In this role you will support Ada's global scheduling frameworks, standards, and reporting/telemetry; ensuring accurate, consistent, and defensible schedule data across regions that integrates into Ada's stage gate process and portfolio. You will also contribute to the future Scheduling Center of Excellence (CoE) within Program Controls, including best-practice sharing, training, and standard work products in collaboration with schedulers and external planning partners across all regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, publication, and maintenance of schedule milestones and benchmark ranges by market and archetype
  • Support NA teams in the development, updates and reporting of integrated project schedules across the full lifecycle, from project initiation and pre-construction through commissioning and handover
  • Establish and maintain the critical path and near-critical paths; identifying float and early warning signals (float consumption, milestone slippage, etc.)
  • Perform schedule risk analysis, what-if scenarios, and recovery planning; provide schedule acceleration options when required
  • Incorporate owner led tasks and actions including: procurement, long-lead equipment, utility/interconnection workstreams, and commissioning
  • Work with Delivery teams to define baseline schedule; prepare and document updates and implement changes with version control
  • Produce recurring schedule reports including look-aheads, milestone dashboards, critical path, delay analysis, and executive-ready data
  • Partner with Business Intelligence to ensure schedule definitions, data quality expectations, and reporting cadence are met; support portfolio rollups and dashboard reliability
  • Review, challenge, and validate General Contractor and trade contractor schedules for logic, duration realism, constraints, and completeness in NA
  • Coordinate schedule alignment with cost forecasts where required (cash flow timing, milestone-driven spend curves) in partnership with Cost Management and Development/Delivery teams
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day outputs from third-party planning/scheduling consultants in North America; ensure deliverables meet internal and external reporting standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and helping develop standard templates, playbooks, audit scorecards, and training materials for scheduling

Minimum Requirements:

  • 710+ years of progressive experience in construction scheduling / planning on large, complex projects (mission-critical / complex infrastructure preferred)
  • Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 (preferred); strong schedule data integrity and version control discipline
  • Deep understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), logic linking, float analysis, schedule risk management, and KPI-driven schedule controls
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining integrated project schedules including design/permitting, procurement (LLE/LLM), construction, commissioning, and turnover
  • Experience reviewing and challenging contractor schedules; comfort running schedule audits and enforcing minimum scheduling standards and WBS alignment
  • Strong communication skills: ability to translate schedule risk and impacts into clear executive-ready insights and actionable recommendations
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with Delivery, Design, Procurement, Commissioning, Finance/BI, and Investment stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
