We strive to educate the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—preparing each student for success in high school and beyond. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Science Teacher for grades 5 through 8. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of science, foster critical thinking, and create a supportive, faith-filled classroom environment. The teacher will plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with NGSS standards and Catholic values, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver rigorous science lessons for students in grades 5–8.
- Incorporate hands-on experiments, technology, and inquiry-based learning.
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into classroom activities and discussions.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Collaborate with colleagues on school-wide initiatives.
- Uphold the mission and values of Visitation Catholic School.
- Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
