Must be a Licensed Special Education Teacher in the state of NY.
Valid and active license.
Experience is recommended but new graduates are welcome
Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, and a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to adapt instructional strategies, materials, and resources to meet diverse learning needs.
Proficient in assessing and monitoring student progress through formal and informal assessment methods.
Knowledge of specialized teaching techniques, assistive technologies, and resources for students with special needs.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with students with diverse learning abilities.
Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage classroom dynamics and individual student needs.
