The Proposal Writer will be responsible for developing Tagup responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential and existing customers by accurately positioning the value of Tagup's products and solutions. The Proposal Writer reviews RFPs and related materials to understand the customer's concerns, priorities, and needs and compose a response addressing those issues.
The Proposal Writer must demonstrate effective time and project management skills, exhibiting focus and poise within a fast-paced, deadline-driven, collaborative and complex environment where continuous communication is critical.
Understand and incorporate win themes, value propositions, benefits, differentiators, statistics / results and strategic information into proposal responses, executive summaries and cover lettersEnsure proposal prose is tailored to the specific challenges, concerns, and goals of the customer agencyWork closely with the Proposal Manager to ensure compliance of both solutions and final responsesWork with Proposal Manager and Subject Matter Experts to understand the win strategy, themes, and discriminators, and to write proposal sections based on annotated outlinesParticipate in post-submission "lessons learned" discussions to identify and implement ways of improving the proposal process.Inspect and edit own work as well as apply feedback and edits into drafts from a variety of sources within established internal deadlinesCreates strategic messaging, tailors proposal content, and contributes to the strategy and / or editing of the proposal responses and library contentEngage with graphic designers to develop concepts for graphics to enhance proposal responses and database contentFollow established proposal processes and defined roles and responsibilities throughout proposal development, including new content capture and editing processesMeets deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetingsReview RFPs to identify new questions, areas of concern, unique requirements and opportunities for differentiationOther duties as assignedRequired Skills and Experience
BA / BS in English, Journalism, or a Communications related field2-3 years of work experience responding to proposalsDemonstrated proficiency in persuasive writing using conversational English.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects to meet all deadlinesStrong self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilitiesEdit writing for organization, content, style, and toneAbility to understand technical concepts and formulate them into concise written formAbility to read, understand, and ensure compliance with complex project requirementsSuccessful experience working both individually and collaboratively within a small teamAdvanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe AcrobatPreferred Skills and Experience

85,000 - $115,000 a year
