  • Coordinate production schedules across manufacturing operations to optimize resource utilization and meet delivery commitments.
  • Analyze customer demand, backlog, forecasts, and inventory levels to establish production priorities.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, and Operations teams to ensure material availability and schedule feasibility.
  • Monitor capacity constraints and recommend schedule adjustments to mitigate risks and maximize throughput.
  • Work with the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) leader and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Identify schedule risks related to material shortages, engineering changes, supplier performance, capacity limitations, and customer demand fluctuations.
  • Generate and communicate production plans and key schedule metrics to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
  • Support new product introductions, engineering change orders, and program transitions through effective scheduling and planning practices.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including on-time delivery, schedule attainment, inventory levels, and forecast accuracy.
  • Develop what-if scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of changing demand, capacity, and supply conditions.
  • Ensure scheduling processes comply with company policies, procedures, and business objectives.
  • Support internal and external audits related to planning, scheduling, and inventory controls.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in production planning, master scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience within aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or a highly regulated industry preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and make sound business decisions.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory control, capacity planning, and supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
