Our client is seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Legal Secretary to support attorneys and staff in delivering exceptional client service. This role is ideal for someone who has already gained foundational experience in a legal environment and is ready to take the next step in their professional growth.
About the Role
The Legal Secretary will play a key role in maintaining smooth daily operations, supporting casework, and ensuring accurate and timely communication across the firm. You will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, clients, and external partners, making professionalism and discretion essential. This position requires strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to managing competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, and filings
Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court deadlines
Organize case files, maintain document management systems, and ensure accurate recordkeeping
Assist with e-filing in state and federal courts
Handle incoming calls, emails, and client inquiries with professionalism
Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, vendors, and court personnel
Support billing processes, time entry, and expense tracking
Prepare mailings, binders, exhibits, and case materials
Assist with administrative tasks and special projects as needed
Required Qualifications
2–3 years of experience working in a law firm or legal services environment
Strong understanding of legal terminology, document formatting, and basic court procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Professional demeanor, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
Ability to work onsite and collaborate closely with attorneys and staff
