Security Associate

Shift / Hours : Wednesday / Friday / Saturday 10 : 30am to 5 : 30pm, Thursday 10 : 30am to 8 : 30pm, and Sunday 11 : 30am to 5 : 30pm

Pay Rate : $17.81 / hr

We are looking for Facilities Associates who can help assist with bringing different events and exhibits to life for patrons. Job Summary : The Facilities Associate will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all patrons and staff within the facility, with a particular focus on monitoring exhibit spaces. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to facility upkeep, and excellent interpersonal skills to assist and guide visitors.

Security Associate responsibilities include :

• Monitor exhibit spaces to ensure the safety of exhibit pieces and patrons, gently reminding visitors of facility policies as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including galleries, common areas, restrooms, and exterior grounds, to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Perform light cleaning duties, such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal, to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of special events, exhibitions, and educational programs, including moving furniture and equipment.
• Respond promptly to facility-related issues, such as spills, minor repairs, or equipment malfunctions, and report larger issues to the Facilities Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering patron questions, providing directions, and offering assistance when necessary.
• Ensure all public areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., restroom supplies).
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including emergency response plans.
• Collaborate with security personnel to ensure the overall safety and security of the institute.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
