We are hiring for the role of Senior Business Analyst. Below are the key details:
Role OverviewThis role supports requirements gathering, backlog management, and quality assurance for an HR workflow automation initiative. The candidate will serve as the primary liaison between systems support teams and HR subject-matter experts, translating business intent into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate project schedules, implementation plans, and documentation for HR automation releases
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles with HR stakeholders
Develop testing strategies, data scenarios, and test plans to address functional requirements
Manage user stories, sprint backlogs, and participate in SCRUM ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) in Azure DevOps
Produce deliverables: business requirements, functional specifications, QA plans, UAT artifacts
Facilitate work sessions with HR subject-matter experts to elicit and prioritize requirements
Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications
Minimum 6 years of experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, and QA documentation
Experience in workflow automation, human resources systems, or government applications preferred
Knowledge of HR business processes and state government workflow practices
Ability to produce complete functional documentation capturing business processes and application inputs/outputs
Skill in testing complex applications against requirements and designs
Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
Azure DevOps experience for backlog management, sprint planning, and test execution
QA review experience against defined standards
Experience with state government HR systems, payroll, or position management applications
Data analysis and validation skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related financial field plus 6 years of professional experience (experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis). CBAP or ISTQB certification is a plus.
