Licensed / Registered Architect in NY (preferred) or NJ, or actively pursuing licensure. 7–10 years of professional experience with demonstrated leadership on large-scale or transit projects. Must have experience working with public agencies such as NYCT, MTA, LIRR, Amtrak, NJ Transit, etc. Expertise in all project phases, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with BIM 360 or Navisworks a plus. Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. Naik Consulting Group is currently seeking a Senior Architect. The Senior Architect will lead design and coordination efforts for large-scale infrastructure, rail, and transit projects. This role requires significant leadership, independent decision-making, and strong client-facing skills. The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee project delivery from design through construction, and mentor junior architects.
Management, primarily in the transportation infrastructure industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead project design efforts and coordination across internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Manage schedules, deliverables, and budgets for complex infrastructure projects.
- Present and defend design solutions to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Oversee preparation of drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Administer construction activities, including submittals, RFIs, field reports, and site visits.
- Mentor and direct junior architects, fostering professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and contract requirements.
