Job descriptionDevelop, document and maintain business rules for underwriting and policy management processes Partner with stakeholders to review and update rules to reflect regulatory and market changes Collaborate with IT to implement business rules within configurable insurance systems to ensure seamless integration Build relationships and trust with senior stakeholders, understanding goals, objectives and desired outcomes, and bringing them on the journey of engagement Maintain a close working relationship with partners in Operations, Technology, and the business. Position : Senior Business Analyst

The Team :
The Hiscox USA Digital Operations and Business Transformation team creates innovative solutions to improve the customer experience and drive digital growth. We are on a journey to optimize our digital platforms while transitioning to an agile, value-stream based delivery model.
About You :
You'll be an experienced Business Analyst who is business savvy and collaborative, someone who enjoys working with Business Sponsors, Product Owners, Architects, Technical BA & Engineers and other stakeholders to plan and execute analysis activities to deliver valuable outcomes for the business.
You will have 5-8 years' experience in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance industry . This role will be critical in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, with a focus on building configurable applications and managing business rules to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation.
You will have the opportunity to work on a range of project and value stream outcomes in our Digital Operations and Business Transformation portfolio, giving you broad exposure to how the US business operates, from the front line through to the back-office functions and the technology that supports our ability to deliver superb service to our customers.
Our projects can be driven by process improvement, integration of new ventures and delivery of regulatory requirements. The outputs of the projects can vary from large scale system delivery and upgrades to smaller, tactical solutions that open up business opportunities.
What You'll Do :
Requirements Gathering and Analysis :
- Build a strong understanding of end-to-end user journeys & processes, their supporting technologies
- Accurately and efficiently elicit, challenge, and document scope, processes & requirements while bringing the end user / s along the change journey
- Produce high quality business and technical analysis deliverables, including but not limited to, user stories, functional and non-functional specifications, as is' and 'to be' process models
- Ensure traceability of requirements and user stories throughout the entire change lifecycle
- Apply BA best practice and insights that challenge the business to think about the right solution
