SUMMARY
The Senior Director Business Development is a responsible for driving growth in the competitive market. This position provides guidance on capture strategies, develop client relationships, and manage operations to align with the strategic plan. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert, they enhance the company's competitive position and lead business development efforts globally. This role involves participating in conferences, preparing reports, and providing expertise for proposals. Strong leadership, relationship management, and market awareness are essential. This is a 100% remote position.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
DoD Experience highly preferred.
Frequent travel may be required.
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of competitive contract experience
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Receives continual development and training on FAR and Government Acquisition.
Provides guidance on how capture, the structuring of opportunities and development of a short-term and long-term pipeline.
Develops client relationships, evaluates needs, develops solutions, and manages operational elements. Works with operational leadership to ensure client requirements are met and align with the strategic plan.
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and works with LLC Managers in developing a global solution defining formalized processes. Evaluates and develops a competitive solution and / or approach that will enhance competitive position and name recognition in the Defense market.
Works with division leadership and staff to identify and capture new contract (government or commercial) work and leads the business development efforts for global markets.
Plans and establishesobjectives, goals, standards, forecasts, budgets, and special projects as required.
Participates in targeted conferences, symposiums, and panels. Uses expertise to identify and develop strategic relationship targets. Leads conference, symposium, or panel strategy development when as assigned by supervisor.
Prepares reports for submission to customers, division and corporate leadership.
Acts as division’s senior advisor regarding legal requirements, best practices, terms and conditions interpretations, delivery schedules, and appropriate prime contract flow down clauses.
Provides expertise for proposal preparation and pricing activities, including price negotiation and capture activities.
Provides SME during the capture and proposal phase.
Manages high level relationships including leading kick-off meetings, communications and performance measurements.
Provides oversight of post-award implementation plans. Sets up infrastructure and compliance with the DEFLOG Branded SCM processes for smooth transition of new requirements.
Directs site visits and on-site meetings as needed.
Stays up-to-date on new and emerging technologies and market trends within agency’s environment.
Ensures coordination with operational leadership regarding implementation of program-specific process improvement initiatives.
Participates in interdisciplinary projects and groups to achieve maximum efficiency.
Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
Identifies data gaps and integrity concerns. Establishes and implements correction plans, and recommends system and procedural enhancements to prevent further data integrity issues.
Develops reports and metrics to identify potential challenges / issues and develops corrective actions before client notification to CNI.
Collects data and analyzes trends to initiate process improvement and implementation strategy for functional areas.
Monitors the external and internal environment and trends to identify areas to increase market share and ensure improvement in delivery of agency’s capability.
May participate in inter-departmental task forces charged with improving performance.
Requires frequent travel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree preferred and five to ten (5-10) years government contracting experience in civilian and / or defense contracting environment required.

The estimated pay range for this role is $140K to $175K, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
