A company is looking for an Acquisition Editor for Politics and International Affairs.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire content in alignment with market and product needs, enhancing the scholarly reputation of the PressCollaborate with internal teams and external partners, including authors, editors, and academic stakeholdersNegotiate contracts and utilize data-driven analysis for decision-making in the acquisition process
Required Qualifications
Experience in academic and trade publishing acquisitionsKnowledge of Political Science, International Relations, or other social sciencesProven ability to manage projects through all stages of commissioning and publicationExperience in building networks within the publishing and academic communitiesUnderstanding of open access publishing and current trends in academic publishing
