What You'll Do
Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an experienced Senior Stream Restoration Designer / Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible to ensure that all required tasks on a project from proposal to final invoice payment are completed either by themselves or by subordinates. The Senior Project Manager is primarily responsible for the completion and overall success of the project. Senior Project Manager will act as the main point of contact for the client on their projects. The ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all phases of dam removal and stream restoration projects, from initial assessment and planning through permitting, design, construction and post-removal monitoring
Apply advanced knowledge of stream and restoration techniques to design and implement projects which restore natural hydrology, improve water quality and enhance habitat connectivity
Ensure all projects comply with federal, state and local environmental regulations
Provide technical guidance and oversight on sediment transport, geomorphic assessments, and ecological monitoring related to dam removal and stream restoration
- This position requires overseeing the work of others and management of small and complex projects of various types
- Environmental Senior Project Managers prepare project proposals and budgets (including complex proposals in response to publicly solicited requests for proposals), lead business development initiatives within their operating group(s), serve as a technical resource to junior staff in their area(s) of expertise, review technical deliverables, invoices, and field reports prepared by junior staff
- Environmental Senior Project Managers may be required to supervise junior staff directly and if so, will be responsible for maintaining a sufficient workload for all junior staff under their supervision
- This position requires the ability to independently solve day-to-day problems on projects with limited direction or involvement from executive staff. Environmental Senior Project Managers are responsible for daily on-going client interaction, maintaining a client database, and actively participating in business development and client marketing events
- Physical Demands - Work may include climbing : ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc. You will be required to have close visual acuity. Activities occur inside and outside, and you may be required to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
Bachelor and / or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting.
